Are there any professional makeup artists......?

i need to know about the career and how to get there and places to work , plus other stuff like benifits and how good the pay is...sooo does any one know? Are there any professional makeup artists......?
Hey there. im a model in Ny. i pay makeup artist about $100 -$500 and then most times they do it for free called TFP to get the pictures and have some to their name.

wich means. instead of me paying them and them not seeing anything of the work they have done, TFP is free for both of us, we both keep the pictures and as well as the photographer. i have been doing this for about 6 years so its really hard to explain the business. For the most part, they have alot of certifications and take a lot of classes. ex: to get paid jobs, this model wants MAC therefore the MUA has to be MAC cert.

if you have anymore questions i could point you in the right direction if you have some experiance. explinaing kit fees, a photographer.model.mua site to ask questions and get work

Well, its fun...but...no benefits almost ever! You need an aesthetics license (skin care you can do facials too) or cosmetology (hair, nails, skin). Its probably the hardest cosmetology field to build clientele in. Once licensed I would seriously out doing part-time until it picks up (usually 3-6 years). Or working a make-up counter like Mac. Mac hires professionals most of the other make-up counters you have to work in clothing and make your way up the chain in the department stores.
