Wear some nice slacks, with a button down blouse. make sure you don't leave too many buttons undone at the top. You don't want to show off much cleaveage. If you have a pair of black flats they go great with any outfit that you're trying to look professional in. Make sure that if your shoes are black %26amp; your pants are black that you wear black socks. (I've noticed in my experience white socks is something employers tend to look down on if you're wearing black slacks %26amp; shoes). Keep your hairstyle out of your face. Make sure you keep good posture at the interview. Slouching gives the employer a (false) sense of you being a slacker. When it comes to make-up be sure that it looks NATURAL. Light colors that blend well with you skin tone. Don't cake on the make-up, instead use just a touch to hide blemishes and accentuate areas that you want to have noticed. Remember if you're trying to look professional... make sure you take a pen with you (just in case he/she wants you to fill something out), when walking walk with confidence and hold your head up high (be sure not to over do it though, you don't want to look self-rightous). Other than that, be sure your clothes are wrinkle free and have confidence, because no matter what the job is, you've got an interview, so you are able to get the job. Conservative make-up. Don't go too bright on any colors. Hair up and tidy - one barret or clip if showing. Outfit should be either a dark or nutral color pantsuit or skirtsuit with natural pantyhose and matching shoes. Heels should not be too high. Go easy on the accessories - simple earrings, 1 or 2 rings, watch. Carry a briefcase/document bag instead of a purse - one or the other but not both. Bring and extra pair of panty hose in case you get a run. Be sure to take a shower and wear deoderant - no perfume or cologne. (if you do make it very light)Hi! I have job interviews next week. My suggestion is a dark suit, either black or navy blue, wear a skirt suit. Be sure to put on stockings, and be sure they blend with your skin. For your suit, it would be nice to wear a solid color blouse, nothing too loud nor boring. Your shoes, must match the color of the suit. Put on either navy blue or black shoes, be sure they match your suit color. Depending on the texture of your hair, my suggestion is to be sure it is straight and either in a ponytail or laid back. Make up, dont put too much one, maybe a little foundation and blush. No eye shadow or lipstick. Lip gloss or lip balm would work. If you have nails, be sure they are painted a solid color or with a french manicure design. The design on your nails can say alot about your character. For your purse or handbag, go for a black one or a briefcase looking bag.





When you walk into the interview, be sure to walk in there with confidence. Lack of confidence can kill your whole presentation.

if you're a lady,a good suit that accentuates your shape will do with make up that doesn't say ';hey i'm trying to look my best just for today';but makes you look natural and comfortable.wear matching and comfortable shoes and a good smile or if the suit doesn't suit you pick a long sleeved shirt and trousers or knee-length skirt(i love red shirts and black skirts) with not so high-heeled sandals,a wonderful bag and your hair in a sophisticated style,red lips,a little dark eyes and charming smile.if you're a guy well a good suit and tie with nice hair maybe gelled in place with nice shoes will do.i hope this helps.goodluck with your interviews

gray blazer, ties at waist


gray skirt (has subtle criss-cross design-- not matchy-matchy with blazer)


brownish tights


brown suede open-toe pumps


simple hanging-beads necklace





simple, classic hairstyle








it's important that you look as though you care about staying neat and groomed, but don't put more thought into your appearance than you will your job





ps give a firm handshake-- not one of those dead-fish kinds


i hate wimpy handshakes
Spend the money to go to a beauty salon and have a stylist give you a good cut with a style that you can match...she should also be able to do the same for makeup. I'm not talking about a $10 haircut chop shop. Make sure you let her/him know the type of company you're interviewing with...stuffy or wild.





Why is it that people will spend the money on the correct clothes, but try to skimp on the looks department.

Dress conservatively, and light on the makeup. A suit(with a skirt) is good.Low heels, and remember to make eye contact....
Of course it really depends on what type of job you are interviewing for but you can't go wrong with a dark colored suit (pants or decent length skirt) complimented with a nice colored shirt under the jacket. Nothing too wild or flashy. As far as makeup,wear colors to compliment your features but don't over do it. The natural look is best,same with hair. If it is long wear it up in a nice bun or something similar,as long as it looks neat. No open toe shoes or stilletto's for females,just some pumps or other high heel shoes. Keep jewelry to a minimum, only stud earrings,no more than one ring on each finger. Just keep it simple. Oh and if you carry a cellphone make sure it's turned OFF! . Good luck!!
I would wear either a business suit (skirt or pants is acceptable) in a neutral color or basic black or blue. Or you can wear a nice blouse with a pair of slacks or a skirt. No busy patterns. Makeup should be kept nice and used to enhance your natural beauty. I would stay away from dark colors or heavy eye makeup. No bright red lips!!! Dress conservatively, no cleavage or bare mid riff type tops. I would also make sure to steer away from short skirts or sleeveless tops.
Light natural-looking makeup. Nothing heavy or bright. As far as what to wear, something MODEST. Don't show cleavage and no skirts above the knee.Also, please please please, don't forget to IRON YOUR CLOTHES.





These are things that I look at when I am hiring someone new.
Don't go too heavy on the make-up or you'll put off the interviewers straight away, you need to look natural but if you don't make any effort they might think that would carry onto your work! I would suggest wearing a smart woman's skirt with matching top with figure to it, but don't make it too dark and you want to wear colours to suit your personality.


Make-up wise I would wear some light foundation, dark mascara, discreet eyeliner (may be), some neutral eyeshadow and a small amount of blusher (you don't want to look ill - especially if you have a pale skin-tone). But don't [whatever you do] over-do it - this will give the complete opposite effect you want - the tarty look.


Hair wise, it depends on your style, however, definately wash it the night before but don't dye it or anything. Blow-dry it, straighten, curl it into whatever style but don't make it to 'party-like' (especially if you curl your hair) and use a lot of products on it, which can also make it greasy. Make it smart but not boring.





Do not: - Dress way to young for your age but on the other hand don't dress frumpy, the interviewers are looking for someone with a bubbly personality as well as being suitable (brain-wise) for the job.


- Over-do the make-up.


- Pretend to be someone you're not at the interview (but that's not got a lot to do with your appearance).


- Over-do the hairstyle.





And remember that everything is important for your job interview so don't forget that how you look is important too!

It would be very helpful to know what sort of job the interview is for.





Makeup -- minimal at the most. For many jobs it's better to have none for the interview. And certainly none is better than overdone.





Dress -- Simple, business-like. If the interviewers are likely to be male, they'll prefer to see you in a skirt (around knee-length) and jacket, with white or possibly black blouse.





Hair -- not over-styled and not hanging all over the place





Grooming -- no hairy legs and no trace of moustache





When you go into the room, walk in with your head up, look round, smile and wait to be asked to sit down.





Be prepared to answer a question on your outside interests.





Don't speak for longer than three minutes or so.





Be prepared with a question when they ask you if you've any. Ask something about opportuniities, if you were successful, to develop your skills to enable you to make an ongoing positive contribution to the company.





When the interview's over, stand up and say thank you for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed in person. The interviewers may or may not shake hands with you.





Smile, turn go to the door. As you go out, turn and smile slightly again, nodding your head towards them. Remember that though first impressions are important, last impressions are even more so.
