Makeup questions for makeup professionals or makeup addicts?

Well, there's an upcoming event in our school and I was asked to be the makeup artist for an org's (stage) host for a night event. The girl's face I'm going to do has ... well can't find the right term... has a ';cratered'; (harsh of me...) face. Meaning, she has lots of holes in her face. Should I fill em up with foundation? Liquid, powder, or cream? And how strong the makeup should be because she will be spotlighted since the event will be held at night? Any tips please?

Setting aside my question above, when doing a natural makeup look on a face with such texture, is it still advisable to use foundation? Is it necessary to fill those holes up?Makeup questions for makeup professionals or makeup addicts?
There is something you can buy at the MAC Counter. It's called primer. It works wonders by ';filling up the holes';. Anything less than this primer will look disgusting and make her feel bad. This primer looks like a white cream and you put it on with a blush brush. It feels gorgeous to the touch, light and silky. It's classy and won't feel like gunky store bought makeup. After the primer, you can use any foundation. MAC Studio Fix is excellent for coverage, but you'll probably want to use a little blush after the Studio Fix, as Studio Fix is more for ';cover up'; as opposed to adding color. The blush will add the natural human flesh alive color. Good luck! :) P.S. I use Studio Fix foundation (comes in a round compact foundation-powder in 1) and I like to call it ';white out'; It works just as good as white out does for the pen mark on a paper. :) It's like Flesh White Out hehe Forget scars, age spots, veins and acne scars... I would try a moisturizing foundation, that won't clog pores. Maybelline Pure Makeup works great. It evens out uneven skin tones, and covers large pores. Plus its great for your skin.

Hope I helped.

When i use to model i used dermablend on my scar above my lip...you could never tell i was in a car accident! I'm now a cosmotologist and i recomend it to my clients, or use it on the ones i fix up for pagents, weddings, banquets, etc... this stuff is wonderfull. It works like a concealer, you can find it at most department stores. Its very thick so a little goes a long way, it can even cover tattoos!
